WhatALUMNIsay Inspiring Real-Life Career Stories

It is very easy to feel overwhelmed and lost when choosing the next chapter of your life. Am I doing the right degree? Am I going to the right University for me? Should I study abroad? Should I take a gap year? The list of possibilities seem endless, and you understandably feel pressured to make the right choice.

At EduKUDU we believe that there is no singular “right” way of navigating through life. And so, we have created a platform called whatALUMNIsay, so that people can share their unconventional life stories. Every story is unique, captivating, and inspirational. They prove that it is important to do what feels right to you, and not always listen to what other people say.

Why not study abroad? Travel the world? Look into how you can make a career out of your hobbies? Seize every opportunity, and realise your full potential. We encourage you to believe in yourself; as only you know what is right for you.

What exactly is whatALUMNIsay?

WhatALUMNIsay is a platform dedicated to sharing real stories from International Students, and how studying abroad changed their lives. Each story is unique, exciting, and inspiring in their own way.

So, if you want to learn how a banker changed his career-path to try and save the planet, or how a former scientist and a chartered architect got together to open their own distillery, then head on over to our whatALUMNIsay site.

We have a wealth of stories from students studying in the UK and Australia who are from the UK, Vietnam, Germany and Brazil- and this list is ever-expanding!

What do the alumni get for sharing their stories?

Not only do they get the fulfilling satisfaction of potentially changing other people’s lives if they feel inspired by the story, but they also have the opportunity to make a big change in the world through charity. Every University-sponsored alumni profile will generate money for a given charity (always education-based, naturally), selected by the alumnus.

We hope that some alumni will retain links with those charities and, perhaps, visit the projects they have supported. We believe that knowing that you have made a difference in the world (and not to mention it looks rather good on the ol’ CV) is certainly a unique and fulfilling privilege.

If you have a story you want to share with us, then visit our whatALUMNIsay website to learn how to contact us.

We at whatALUMNIsay believe that there is no one set way of going through life, and there is no one set definition of success. Everyone should feel free to navigate the course of their lives in their own way. Do not be afraid to break the mould and to walk the road less travelled. There is a whole world out there waiting for you to discover it.

Don’t just take it from us, hear what our alumni have to say about their time travelling abroad:
  • “Studying abroad made those experiences possible.” (Hermann)
  • “Make your mark on the world, and change the way people live their lives for the better.” (Christopher)
  • “I matter, I inspire, I get inspired, and I evolve.” (Aminata)
  • “I’m ready to take on anything. And wonderful opportunities can arise when you balance grit and determination with not being afraid to change direction.” (Abbie)
  • “Because I am so attached to my family it was hard. But I needed something just for me, just to push myself.” (Ligia)
