    For more than 40 years, Durham College has provided high-quality, market-focused programs, some of them unique in Ontario. We offer more than 130 full-time programs through the schools of Business, IT & Management; Continuing Education; Health & Community Services; Interdisciplinary Studies & Employment Services; Justice & Emergency Services; Media, Art & Design; Science & Engineering Technology; and Skilled Trades, Apprenticeship & Renewable Technology.


    All of our programs are developed and continually shaped by market needs, meaning you are ready for the jobs of today and tomorrow. Committed to ensuring that its programs meet the demands of today’s employers and the province of Ontario the college also introduces new programs annually. Factor in our state-of-the-art equipment, high-tech base and professors with years of real-world experience and you’re well on your way to obtaining a great career and making a difference in the world.


    The college also offers diploma-to-degree programs that allow students to pursue their university degree in less than the traditional amount of time as well as fast-track programs that enable students to completetheir diploma requirements in only two semesters if they have an appropriate degree from an accredited university.


    Expert faculty provide a positive perspective on the importance of academics and employment and the majority of the college’s full-time programs are designed to give students an opportunity to put what they learn in the classroom into practice on the job via work placement, internship and co-op opportunities.     Making sure you are financially prepared to live and study in Canada is extremely important. Our Tuition fees are considerably lower than in other countries with costs averaging between $12,500 and $14,500 per year.

    As well as state of the art facilities and academic support we offer students a fun and rewarding student life – clubs, cultural activities and sports along with excellent medical services.


    Stay fit: Our Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre features a 28,000-sq.-ft. triple gym, 10,000-sq.-ft. fitness centre, two squash courts, an indoor golf range, an elevated indoor walking/jogging track overlooking the gym and more.


    Stay healthy: The Health Centre delivers health-care services that promote student health in a professional and confidential manner.


    Enjoy great food: There are many different dining options available on campus including Tim Hortons, Extreme Pita and the Marketplace Cafeteria, just to name a few.


    Have fun with friends: Many places and activities on campus are available for you to meet, study or relax with your classmates. If you prefer organized activities, you will be well represented by Your Student Association which is responsible for social events and activities throughout the academic year and is home to more than 70 student clubs.


    Study on campus: We offer a variety of areas to study whether you are in between classes or simply need a quiet place to concentrate. Our Campus Library provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for individual and collaborative learning and wireless Internet connections are available throughout campus to keep you connected to important resources. We also offer our state-of-the-art Learning Commons with 200 computers and wired and wireless Internet connections.

    The brand new Student Services building (SSB) is one of the most comprehensive buildings of its kind in the province and serves as a vital first point of access for potential and current students and graduates. The majority of the college’s personal, educational, career and financial support services are located in thenew building including the Admissions and Recruitment office, Career Services, Financial Aid and Awards, Student Life and more.


    The Integrated Manufacturing Centre, Centre for Integrated Studies and state-of-the-art dental and biotechnology labs.


    The unique Interprofessional Centre of Excellence in Simulation, home to the Sim Family, which is comprised of simulator people ranging from adults to infants. The simulators can speak and display various health ailments involving the heart and lungs as well as vital signs and much more.


    The Campus Library that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for individual and collaborative learning including a bright, spacious second-floor study hall with two-storey ceiling. A glassrotunda on the southwest corner of the four-storey building features a first-floor cafe and a two-storey fireplace reading room.

    Durham College’s Whitby campus is home to the college’s award-winning Skills Training Centre, a leading facility in preparing apprentices and skilled trades students for a wide range of trades.


    The Whitby campus is also the home of the new 36,000-square-foot Centre For Food, scheduled to open in September 2013. Designed to accommodate approximately 900 additional students, once complete it will provide students with access to a full-service green-certified teaching restaurant and lounge; demonstration theatre; three public-viewing kitchens; and state-of-the-art labs, classroomsand meeting spaces.

    Durham College’s newest location, the Pickering learning site, was opened in September 2012. Designed specifically to meet the needs of students looking to further their credentials in an environment focused on mature, professional learners and innovative curricula delivery, Durham College now offers several graduate certificate programs at the new site.


    In addition, the site offers continuing education courses in the evenings and on weekends to better serve students through a flexible learning environment, and several workshops. Strategically positioned to provide direct access to GO Train services and other public transit, the site is a unique 9,000 square foot, two-storey building featuring four classrooms, a computer lab, student space and offices, the PLS accommodates approximately 300 students in one convenient location.
