Psychology is one of the most interesting and challenging subjects at university. You learn about how the mind works and why people behave the way they do. Plus at the moment, brain imaging is giving new and unique insights into age-old problems. It is a very exciting time to be studying psychology.

What are the benefits of studying psychology in the UK?

There are many benefits of studying psychology in the UK. The UK has some of the best Psychology Departments and some of the best psychologists in the world. There are hundreds of places to study psychology, which provides students with plenty of choice about what and where they want to study.

Psychology in the UK has a very high international recognition and the degrees are recognised all over the world.

What are the main areas of psychology that are focused on at universities in the UK?

Psychology in the UK covers many areas. There is considerable interest in cognitive neuroscience in the UK, but other areas (i.e.  social and applied psychology) are also thriving in the UK.
