Monica Hess - “The End of a PhD”
Monica is from Romania. She's studying for a PhD in Psychology at the University of Chichester.
So, this is it! After three years full of smiles, tears, happiness and tiredness, I am (not) ready to say goodbye to Chichester and University of Chichester. Although still a PhD student in the writing up phase, my full bursary runs out on 1st of October 2015 and, hence, I have been hunting for the past three months for a new job to keep me going. Luckily, I managed to get a nice job at University of Brunel London (see my previous blog for further details). I’ll be starting my new job on 28th of September, therefore these would be my last couple of days in Chichester and at University of Chichester.
I still remember the anxiety and excitement I felt when I first started. Luckily, my PhD supervisors have been the best I could ask for, my fellow colleagues have become my friends and my research and teaching experiences have transformed me both professionally and personally.
