Shanna Law - “Living on the Remnants of an Ancient Volcano”

Shanna Law

Shanna has travelled from the USA to study for a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geology at the University of Otago in New Zealand.  When she’s not studying she likes to hike, paint and read.

There a myriad of other beautiful places further out on the peninsula from Dunedin itself. These places are almost always less than an hour drive and can be biked to on a day with good weather. The following pictures are taken at Allan's Beach. Here, there are stunning seaside cliffs, which are made of lava injected into other rocks. For those who are more interested in the wildlife, this is also a great place to spot penguins.
