Despite the recent Brexit situation, studying in the UK is still a very popular option amongst international students worldwide - in fact, depending on the nationality of the students, Brexit may make your study abroad more affordable. The UK is globally recognised for providing high-quality education at a diverse range of over 150 institutions in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Compared to many European countries, tuition fees are quite high, although cost of living can be relatively inexpensive if you choose to study outside of London or any of the countries big cities.
For those of you who do not have many choices as to where you can study, (the grades that you have, the course you wish to study is very specific or you have ties to a specific institution), you will be pleased to know that there are scholarships available to help you with the cost of studying in the UK. These range from full-scholarships with a stipend living allowance (generally for postgraduate courses such as MAs and PhDs), to smaller contributions from the university or scholarship trust funds, which tend to offer one-off payments of more modest amounts (up to £1000 is quite common) which are usually available for undergraduate and postgraduate students who fulfil certain criteria e.g. from a specific country, studying a specific course or with a specific skill set (music scholarships).
Here are some hand-picked International UK Scholarships, as well as a list of resources for finding more scholarships for studying abroad in the UK.
