COUNSELOR Position
Full-Time Lecturer, 12-month, with anticipated annual renewal*
(Student Services Professional, Academic-Related I, 12 months)

Student Health and Counseling Services is seeking a talented, hard-working individual, who is passionate about enhancing the psychosocial development and emotional well-being of Cal Poly Pomona students.

It is anticipated that this Full-Time, 12-month, Faculty Counselor Lecturer position will be renewed on an annual basis contingent upon performance, funding and subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the California State University and the California Faculty Association (http://calstate.edu/LaborRel/Contracts_HTML/CFA_CONTRACT/CFAtoc.shtml).

About the Department

Counseling Services is part of Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS), which is a department within the Division of Student Affairs. Student Health and Counseling Services is accredited by the International Association of CounselingServices (IACS) and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The unit strives for excellence in student services by adhering to the values adopted by the Student Affairs Division (e.g. a student-centered philosophy, integrity, interconnectedness, passion, quality, and richness of diversity). Reflective of these values, Counseling Services provides a variety of mental health, psycho-educational and outreach services to the university community. The mission of Counseling Services is to advance student success by promoting community wellness, removing psychological barriers, and cultivating the personal strengths of Cal Poly Pomona students through culturally relevant mental health services designed to transform their personal, social and academic lives.
